Bio

I am a fourth-year medical student interested in pursuing a career in general surgery.

I am the second oldest of ten children and love being a big brother (and uncle). Nothing is more rewarding than seeing the people around me succeed and being a part of helping them realize their full potential. Injuries and illness prevent us from doing the things that make us feel alive. I hope to practice in a way that heals the body and the mind so that people can get back to living the life they love.

Speaking of love... my journey to medicine was anything but linear. During my last semester at Utah State University, I was accepted to a doctoral program in clinical psychology but felt something was missing. At the time, I was taking a required neuroscience course and fell in love with the mystery of the human body. I completed training to become a certified personal trainer and registered yoga instructor. Still, I wanted to learn more. So, I deferred my acceptance and spent one year as a medical scribe. Daily immersion in medicine helped me discover what had been missing all along.

I completed my pre-medical coursework through The George Washington University's Post-Baccalaureate Pre-Medical Program (all pre-requisite courses completed over 10 months) and matriculated into A.T. Still University's class of 2024.
